How do I get started?
When you first open the app, you'll be guided through selecting your native language (from 53 options) and your English level (A1–B2). Once set up, you'll land on the home screen where you can jump into any category and start practicing immediately.
How does Echo Mode work?
Echo Mode is the core practice flow. First, you listen to a native English phrase. Then you get a 3-second countdown to prepare. After the countdown, the app automatically starts recording your voice for up to 5 seconds (you can also stop manually). Once you stop, you receive instant word-by-word feedback showing which words you got right (green) and which need more practice (red).
How is my score calculated?
Your score is based on word matching: the app compares what you said to the target phrase word by word. Each correctly spoken word contributes to your 0–100 score. Focus on speaking clearly and at a natural pace for the best results.
Why did my streak reset?
Your streak resets if you miss a full day of practice (i.e., you don't complete your daily goal on a given calendar day). To keep your streak alive, complete at least your daily goal (5 phrases by default) each day. You can adjust your reminder time in Settings to help you stay consistent.
What does Premium include?
The free version gives you access to starter categories and core practice features. Premium unlocks all categories and full practice access across all levels. Premium is available as a monthly subscription, annual subscription, or one-time lifetime purchase.
How do I cancel my Premium subscription?
Premium is managed by the Apple App Store. Open your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, find Speak Easy English Learning, and cancel from there. We cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf.
How do I add the widget to my home screen?
Go to Settings inside the app and tap "Widget Setup" for step-by-step instructions. The small widget shows today's practice phrase. The medium widget also shows your current streak. Tap either widget to jump straight into practice.
How do I change my language or level?
Open Settings inside the app. You can change your interface language and your English learning level (A1–B2) at any time without losing your existing progress.
I'm not receiving daily reminders. What should I check?
Go to your device Settings → Notifications → Speak Easy English Learning and make sure notifications are enabled. Also confirm that a reminder time is set in the app's Settings. If the issue persists, please contact us.
How is my data stored?
All your learning data (scores, streak, favorites, preferences) is stored locally on your device. No personal learning data is sent to our servers. You can read more in our Privacy Policy.
